Dear fellow Oregonians,

Thank you for joining me in advocating for our rights.  We were united by our frustrations with the overreach of our Government and I believe that was for a significant and intentional reason. I created three different petitions during the last two years and over 20,000 of you signed all of them. THANK YOU! We now have an opportunity to use all of that pent up frustration for one powerful and transforming cause to change our state for the better.   

The most critical thing I learned during my advocacy work was the powerful role the Governor has to direct what happens at the local levels. During my work on getting fans in the stands I called the then Oregon Health Authority Director. I talked to him a couple of times and was told directly by him that regarding decision making they were “…waiting on Kate Brown”. The Governor has the power to direct what the agencies in the state do and ultimately if we want to change what happens in the state of Oregon, we need change in the most powerful position in our state Government, the Governor’s office.
