Dear fellow Oregonians and all those hoping for change for Oregon,

Thank you to all who signed one of my petitions over the last two years and welcome to those who are new!  This petition will initially be sent out to all 20,013 people that signed one of the previous petitions! Those petitions communicated our frustration with our local government for a few different reasons over the last couple years. What struck me the other day is that we are all already united in our frustration about the way the government in Oregon has been handling decision making and this large of a group UNITED FOR CHANGE can be a powerful force for good in our state. This is an exciting opportunity to redeem and double down on the frustration of the last few years and use it for a new and greater cause. 

The most critical thing I learned during my advocacy work was the powerful role the Governor has to direct what happens at the local levels. During my work on getting fans in the stands I called the then Oregon Health Authority Director. I talked to him a couple of times and was told directly by him that regarding decision making they were “…waiting on Kate Brown”. The Governor has the ability to control and direct what the agencies in the state do and ultimately if we want to change what happens in the state of Oregon, we need change in the most powerful position in our state Government, the Governor’s office.

This is an opportunity for each of us to work together to invite all of Oregon into a powerful movement to be a catalyst for a change. This is beyond politics, this election is about our kids, our education system, our streets, the homeless crisis, the drug and crime disaster area that has overtaken our cities, safety and the rights of all Oregonians. This is about returning to logical solutions for the problems facing our state. The leadership in Salem has lost their minds to the “…casual exercise of absolute power…”- Christine Drazan, 2022 Oregon Candidate for Governor.  We need to bring reason and logic and a heart of service back to leadership and find compromise and create effective policies to solve the serious problems facing our state. Christine Drazan is prepared to step into this role and do all of this for our beautiful state.

We have an opportunity over the next two months to start a movement of advocacy, information, and fundraising to bring a change to Oregon, and on November 8, 2022 we have the opportunity to vote for and elect a Governor and representatives that will respect the boundaries of government and protect our rights as Americans and Oregonians and defend the freedoms guaranteed by our constitution.  If we learned anything over the last couple of years it is that our rights are precious and our government can either take those rights away or defend them.  

Christine Drazan is the only candidate running for Governor that will take this state in a new direction, she will tackle the homeless crisis, fund the police, end the government overreach, protect our rights and stop the insane spending. Both Tina and Betsy will be Kate Brown 2.0 and possibly even worse.  This is a desperate time for our state but also sets up and incredibly exciting opportunity.  
We will also be communicating to all of Oregon and to this nation that we are done!  We are done with the insanity, the crime, the homelessness, the tragic decline in our education system, the illogical decision making and irresponsible spending in Salem. We want a change, we need a change, and we can all as one be the change. Christine Drazan said it best in her most recent debate during one of her most compelling moments, “We got here because of them (Tina & Betsy), we need change.”-Christine Drazan.  (Clip from this debate is @teamdrazan on Instagram.) 

We the people UNITED FOR CHANGE do have the power to change the trajectory of our future and our children’s future.

2. SHARE: We can all do our part to help Christine get the message out! This saves her and her team money and time!  She is willing to do this work… we get to be her advocates! 3. DONATE: The harsh reality of elections is that money is a critical part of the victory. To win this race it is estimated they need to raise approximately $20 million dollars to get the word out to ALL of Oregon!  They have raised $7 million and every donation helps! This money goes to all the advertising needed to get Christine’s message out to all of Oregon. If fundraising continue to be successful it is likely there will be more money contributed from a national level (Republican Governors Association- who has already contributed $1.5 million to this race!). We need to put our money behind our votes if we want to win on November 8th. 5. BE INFORMED AND GET OUT THE VOTE! Read up on Christine’s roadmap to success at www.christinefororegon.com We all need to vote on November 8th, exactly two months from today. Let’s encourage all of our friends and family and neighbors to vote, turn in their ballot and realize that every single vote counts!

Join me in inviting others to invest in Oregon’s future and to realize that this is one of the most significant pivotal opportunities in our lifetime. People from all the world can and do fund political campaigns so if you live in Oregon, or love to visit Oregon, or just don't want the policies that have hurt Oregon coming to your state or nation we invite and encourage you all to the share and donate regardless of where you live, and even if you can’t vote in this election due to age or demographics you can share this petition.  This is an opportunity to bring sanity back to this Government, common sense back to decision making, and honor, integrity and respect back to the Governor's office. 

One final thought, I'd like to call it "Drazan Math".  If you get Starbucks 3 times a week, and skip that for 2 months, until Election Day, you save at least $100.  That money could go to this campaign. We can do this!  It's your decision to save the $100 or not, but let's all unite and give to this campaign and change Oregon's future. 

I am a lifelong Oregonian and I have heard so many from all political backgrounds share their frustrations with our government and I believe that we are all ready to join together and be UNITED FOR CHANGE.  Let's make it happen together.
