Thank you for signing. We spoke with two people today that confirmed that the vote has been delayed! That is good news as it probably means they didn't think they had the votes to pass it, and that gives us more time to raise support and bring awareness and contact the Representatives on the committee. I have sent this petition to all of the Representatives that are on the committee and we have almost 1000 signatures in less than 2 days! The next work session which is likely when the next vote will be is April 6th. That means we have until then to continue to share the petition and contact the Representatives on the committee that will be voting. See their contact info and locations below, if you know people that live in their districts and would be willing to contact them that would be great too.
I highly recommend calling the offices. Emails tend to go to a black hole, but if you call and ask for a call back you are likely to talk to someone and you can share your concerns. Be respectful but share why you think that should vote NO on these bills that limit the use of the Willamette River.
Please continue to share the petition and feel free to reference the petition or send it to the Representatives to show how many people in this state do not want these restrictions on the river.
