Legalize The Ownership of Domesticated Foxes in Oregon

The Issue

In 1959 a Russian scientist named Dmitri Belyaev began breeding foxes in an attempt to understand what makes animals domesticatable or not. His research and efforts soon bore fruit in generations of domestic foxes which not only accepted human interaction but sought contact with humans, much like the domestic dogs we all know.  After his passing the institution Cyotology continued his research and focus on foxes. With the collapse of the U.S.S.R. the funding for their research was severely limited and as such they had to restrict their focus pool. Going from 700 acceptable foxes from each breeding pool to only 100 they are left with the unsavory option of selling the remaining foxes to fur farms or private owners. With their research nearing their breakthrough the institution and their associates need all the funding and support they can get, however, in most states there are severe restrictions or complete bans on the owning of any fox, domestic or not. With the legalization of the Domestic Silver Fox in Oregon or any state we can assist these researchers by funding their operation and giving the domestic foxes loving homes. I ask for your support to lift the ban and spare as many of these lovable, kind foxes from a shortlived life in a fur farm, and the additional financial support that would be provided to the researchers overseas.
