At the April 25 Council meeting, the following motion was passed as part of Rise and Report

Resolution 2022-147

Moved by Deputy Mayor Macintosh

Seconded by Councillor Taylor

That the 2022-04-11 Closed Council Minutes, be approved;

And that Confidential Verbal Report from Colleen Butler, Town Solicitor and Ed Brennan, CAO - Health and Safety Policies regarding personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees; labour relations or employee negotiations, litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board, advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose, be received;

And that staff report back in January 2023 with regard to the Town's vaccination policies;

And that staff report back on an Infectious Disease Policy.

So that motion by Macintosh and Taylor passed and therefore the current vaccination policies won't be looked at until the next term of Council.

Unfortunately, this is not the outcome nor timeline we had hoped for.  Luckily, we have a municipal election upcoming this fall and, fellow Orangeville residents, let's remember the members of Council that supported this drastic, ineffective and punitive policy when we cast our votes.  More to come........
