Currently, children are required to wear masks at all times during the school hours, except when eating.

The science shows outdoor transmission of COVID is below 1%. NYS current covid positivity rate is around 1%, Orange County NY positivity rate is around 1%. The vaccines are readily available to adults, child have little risk of serious illness. 

Children should be entitled to mask breaks and should be entitled to fresh air. The OC DOH is refusing to allow children to remove their masks when they are outdoors for recess or outdoor play. There is no current studies or science that shows this is necessary. 

Let the kids take off their masks when outdoors on school grounds!
