Sylvester, who lives at the Santa Ana Riverbed, spoke publicly before the County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday. Sylvester was one of several others that pleaded for more time and a place to go after they are displaced. How can the Board of Supervisors expect a thousand people to pack up and leave without telling them where they can legally be? How can the County of Orange only afford one bed for every two people living on our streets? How can we not do better than this?
