Do you understand how senseless it is to send a thousand people out onto the streets with their life's possessions in tow? To not offer them shelter, to threaten to arrest them at any time for living in parks or trespassing on public land, is to treat them as something less than human. We can put up a fight against the displacement happening Monday, January 22nd. We can protest. We can register as much dissatisfaction as possible with the County's actions. We can make it our mission to get every last friend, family member, and coworker to drive this petition forward, to tell our elected County officials as loudly as possible that we are, frankly, disgusted with them.
