It is inconceivable how a company positioned at 17th for its benefits in the global ranking according to Forbes -the magazine specialized in the world of business and finance- has to fire employees at all.

However, Oracle is going to fire 127 employees in Spain, accounting for more than 10% of the staff at the affected work centers: Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Valencia and Seville.

Moreover, the jobs will not be destroyed, but transferred to low-cost countries, namely Romania, to increase the already immeasurable profit margin at the expense of employees.

While boasting of valuing diversity, talent and innovation, Oracle decided to get rid of its multicultural staff located across several European countries and with an average experience of more than 14 years, to replace them: with recently hired inexperienced newbies, centralized in just one country, Romania.

Spanish layoff was announced this June 2015, despite the fact that the expected economic results are positive for Oracle in general and specifically for its Spanish branch.

Due to these reasons, we request Oracle to immediately cancel the layoffs.
