Kainga Ora has entered into a contract to purchase the development of 17 houses at 241 Hill Road. 
Given the nature of the development, it is believed the project was designed and constructed with only Kainga Ora in mind, and they have known about this for the last 9 months. Residents were only advised in August.

What is at stake is the future of The Gardens as you know it. 
There are many statistics that outline the issues that a development like this represents, like increases in crime and a drop in property value, but most importantly Kainga Ora is using your tax dollars to buy this and at no stage have they entered into any consultation with The Gardens Community. 

If they do this here they will continue to bully communities into accepting that nothing can be done. They are counting on The Gardens to accept this. 
The process is nothing new. The support we gain from this will add the voice to a situation the Gardens should never have been put in. 
What's been done is deceitful to the community of kiwis who care and value where they live. 

Show your support for this and we will take this to Kainga Ora's CEO and the Chair of their Board and demand that this be offered to homebuyers.

There are already a number of documented cases where Kainga Ora has wound back their decision.
