Opposition to Lincoln Bold's Development Plans in The Historic Haymarket District

Opposition to Lincoln Bold's Development Plans in The Historic Haymarket District
The Issue
GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/e64238f7
Lincoln Bold's proposed development in the Historic Haymarket district will directly impact the ability of Haymarket residents and businesses to complete even the most basic of day to day tasks needed to live and operate a business in the Historic Haymarket district. Every resident and business will be negatively affected by the construction of this building, every single day, for the entirety of the proposed construction process (2.5-3 years) and beyond.
The ramifications of Lincoln Bold's development project would decimate the Haymarket economy, leading to business closures and revenue loss that would further strain an economy still reeling from the toll that the Covid-19 pandemic caused.
If these concerns are not addressed, and the Lincoln Bold project is approved to move forward, the losses will irrevocably change the landscape of the Historic Haymarket district forever.
Additionally, the Lincoln Bold Project is requesting $23 million dollars in TIF funding, which would make it the largest TIF funded project in the history of Lincoln. Luxury condos/apartments and a private club, zero affordable housing and zero parking, with a $23 million dollar loan from the taxpayers of Lincoln. All of this while destroying the Haymarket economy, costing the city of Lincoln millions of dollars in sales tax revenue, and forever changing the "Historic" aspect of the Haymarket district.
Please help our cause and contact your City Council members via email and let them know you support saving the Historic Haymarket and oppose Lincoln Bold's Development plans.
