Hello all,

Another angle getting the attention of public and media, the Kitsilano Coalition is challenging the appropriateness and lack of due diligence of the site selection for the proposed low-barrier housing for 140 with great clinical needs and zero provision of onsite support. Given other data for similar, but smaller, sites, this location's composition could translate into 1,400 emergency responder calls per year which will equal 2,800-4,000 emergency response vehicles per year smack in the middle of an already congested roadway that includes a school crosswalk for 500 children (and families), a bike lane, the popular Arbutus Greenway, traffic calming medians, and a major Metro Vancouver Skytrain and 99 B Line Bus Route Terminus.

Planning literally doesn't get any worse than this.

It will be discussed on TODAY'S CKNW Jas Johal show with Cheryl Grant, a representative of the Kitsilano Coalition, at 5:03 PM.

Please tune and call in with your support.

Best

Charlene and the Parents for Thoughtful City Planning
