On January 8, 2025, during the preliminary vote, the Harford County Planning Advisory Board unanimously recommended "no change" to the current AG zoning designation for E-009. This represents a significant milestone in our efforts to preserve this property.
However, the Department of Planning & Zoning is still in the process of finalizing its recommendations, and the final decision will be made by the Harford County Council in April. Last night was a joyous victory, but we still have an uphill battle.
It is important to note that the County Council has the authority to overturn these recommendations. Therefore, we urge you to continue raising awareness and voicing your opposition to the rezoning request for E-009. Together, we can advocate for the preservation of this valuable AG-designated property, which is cherished by the Bel Air community, Harford County residents, and greenspace advocates alike.
