We urge the local government and relevant authorities to reconsider the proposed rezoning of the site designated for an elementary school under file No. OZS-2025-0036. This site has been earmarked for educational development, a critical need for our community's growing population, and changing this into another zoning use could be detrimental to future generations.

Our community is currently experiencing a population boom, with more young families moving into our area. As such, the need for an additional elementary school is becoming increasingly urgent. Rezoning this site not only disregards the projected demographic needs but also the promises made when the area was originally planned, which included setting aside spaces for educational institutions.

Moreover, transforming this site into another type of development could adversely impact community infrastructure, traffic patterns, and neighborhood integrity. Schools act as community hubs fostering cohesion and bringing people together for various activities beyond education, like sports, meetings, and events.

In lieu of rezoning, we propose utilizing this prime location for public park development.
