Thank you to everyone who has continued to support the opposition against this re-zoning. Going to my first delegation definitely brought up some realities for the developers, consultants and councilors.
The delegates were amazing and we all had the same message. Taking on a project like this at the corner so close to the traffic of the large trucks, increase a large number of vehicles while also not supplying adequate parking is not the vision our community wants and needs.
We all supported the idea of some commercial units with a duplex or such above, but not until there is a deep look at the safety concerns we all shared. The reality is though if this plan does go further the community does need to come together to discuss what we want.
If anyone has any concerns please please please share them with the following people:
agenda@caledon.ca,
planning@caledon.ca,

Your ward councillor
Even a simple email to say the following:
- concerns with the project (try to be evidence based not feelings)
- safety risks
- traffic/ parking risks
- plan for school buses?
- height regulations?
- no access to town essentials
Then make sure to:
- request confirmation that these concerns form part of the formal application record and are being considered through the ongoing circulation and review of the proposal.
- to be kept informed of any revised submissions, updated studies, staff recommendations, Council decisions, or changes to the application status, so the community may understand how the identified concerns are being addressed prior to any decision.
Let's continue to work together to revise and fix this poor planning,
More signatues, more understanding of our concerns,
