David Lennon (#908485) is a sick and dangerous murderer. He was an escapee from an Oregon prison in 1984 when he lured 2 juvenile males (14 & 17) on an adventure of horror. He stole 2 guns, drugs & MURDERED MY DAD, TERRY LYNN STITT for his CAR.

My dad was on his way home when the 14yr old was hitch hiking, as a good Samaritan he stopped. The boy asked if he had room for 2 more. My dad said sure. Lennon created a fake grandma and address for my dad to take them too. David Lennon told the boys he was going to take this car. He had 2 loaded guns. When they stopped alongside the highway the 2 boys got out of the car and Lennon shot my dad in the chest, neck and head 2 times. Lennon then threw him out alongside the highway in Benton County, WA like he was trash to conceal his crimes. Lennon then robbed my dad of $260.00 in his wallet and made the juveniles clean up all the blood in the car. As he drove off in our family car stating, "we started this 4th out with a bang”. David Lennon then went onto Montana where he got himself and the boy's jobs at a resort. After a few days he took my dad's car and was moving on when he got into a high-speed chase with Montana State Police. During the chase he had the 17-year-old throw out the murder weapon. When he was caught. He denied all actions, gave a false alias. When the two juveniles were questioned, they told the cops everything. 

My dad's body was found 7 days later by a high school student picking up trash. 

When David Lennon was charged with the murder of my dad, to evade the death penalty, he faked multiple personality & feigned mental illness. This went on for months and then he attempted suicide and faked being paralyzed.  

In March of 1985 He was convicted of Murder in the First Degree with aggravated circumstances on 3 accounts for the murder of Terry Lynn Stitt on July 4, 1984. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of release or parole. I have relied on this sentence my whole life as the only form of justice for my dad's death.

Washington state allows commutation for life sentences. The 1st time he petitioned in 2018 it was voted against his release 4-0 by a board that was held by people with law background including a prosecutor and former chief of police.

Then he applied for a second time & on March 9, 2023, he went before a new board with members who lack judicial background, one being an ex-NFL player Doug Baldwin Jr from the Seahawks, another a dean of students from Whitman college. The board voted 4-1 to recommend his release. There hasn't been any change in his actions that warrants release. 

 Please help us right this wrong and tell Governor Inslee to keep David Lennon in Prison. Don’t let him destroy another family like he has ours.
