Hello Everyone,
First of all, thank you again for your support. We are past 2,900 signatures now, and officials are impressed and many in City Hall have heard about our opposition.
We have met both elected and appointed officials, liaised with other interested groups, we showed up at public meetings at City Hall, and are continuing the work to not let the Marina Green Waterfront be destroyed.
The neighborhood grassroots organization, Keep The Waterfront Open, is organizing a community meeting on 10/11 for a multi-faceted look at the SF Recreation & Parks Department's (RPD) proposed Marina Remediation and Improvement Project to understand the genesis of the project and what it means for our neighborhood.
Topics will include the history of the Marina and the Small Craft Harbor, PG&E's toxic remediation, the status of the RPD project, and a discussion of what improvements can be made to increase access and recreational opportunities for all San Franciscans and beyond.
City Supervisors Aaron Peskin and Ahsha Safai and officials from the Recreation & Parks Department will attend. Working together, we can make it better!
The meeting will be held
Wednesday 10/11 from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm at:
Sports Basement Presidio
610 Old Mason Street, San Francisco
Thank you
