Oppose the Penn Ambulatory Center

Oppose the Penn Ambulatory Center
The Issue
The Montgomery Township Neighborhood Alliance implores you to join other concerned community members and sign this petition to indicate your opposition to the Penn Ambulatory Center.
We oppose....
-4,000+ new vehicles in our community, displacement of wildlife, light pollution, stormwater run-off, and POOR SUBURBAN PLANNING
On November 16, 2022, Montgomery Township notified only 14 households that Penn Medicine has submitted a Conditional Use application for the construction of an ambulatory healthcare facility to be located on the east side of Dekalb Pike between Gateway Center and Gwynmont Drives. The proposed 150,000 SF, four-story building will also include an adjacent 52,000 SF, four-story parking garage and will operate 6 days a week, Monday-Friday, 7:30AM to 8:30PM and on Saturdays from 7:00AM to 3:00PM.
Despite the neighborhoods that will be affected by the enormously increased traffic on Welsh Road and DeKalb Pike and despite the egregious corporate irresponsibility of placing such a large building with a transitory population so close to our neighborhoods, Penn Medicine has moved forward with its plans and the Board of Supervisors approved the conditional use of ambulatory centers for Class C Commercial land.
