This petition represents every person residing within the bounds of the Mukwonago Area School District in opposition to the motion of the board.

While students understand cell phone use during class is inappropriate, we MUST be able to contact our parents without the filter of the school office and in a manner which is outside the monitoring capabilities of the school district. Phones must be allowed in study hall and lunch periods. In a world where our very own teachers have been exposed as convicted child sex offenders, it is absolutely inappropriate to limit contact with the outside world (including our parents) in such a manner.

On November 20, 2024, the Village of Mukwonago Board will vote to allow any use of a PCD (any non district issued computer, laptop, tablet, e-reader, cellular/mobile phone, smartphone, and/or other web-enabled devices of any type) on school grounds between the hours of 7:30a-2:45p to be punishable by municipal court fines/penalties, courtesy of Superintendent Joe Koch.

Once this petition is victorious, goal #2 is allowing PCD use during study halls and lunch periods.
