The valuable staff of Isle of Wight NHS Trust face an unfair burden - a substantial increase in parking charges on hospital premises. This means that the people who are working to keep us healthy are forced to spend even more of their hard-earned salary just to get to work. As an essential service, healthcare workers should be supported, not penalised for their commitment. This issue is close to my heart as I witness colleagues, friends, and family members, dedicated health workers, struggle with this needless financial strain. Therefore, we call on the hospital management and local council to stop the unjust parking charge increase for the Isle of Wight NHS Trust staff.
