I recently acquired my Part 107 license and invested in another drone to enhance my professional work. However, like many others, I am deeply concerned about the proposed Countering CCP Drones Act. This legislation threatens to ground all DJI drones, which are a vital tool for countless professionals and hobbyists alike.

More importantly, this ban would significantly impact first responders who rely heavily on DJI drones. These devices make up a large percentage of products used by our emergency services for critical tasks such as search and rescue operations or assessing disaster-stricken areas.

According to a report by Drone Industry Insights (2020), DJI holds approximately 70% of the drone market share worldwide. This demonstrates how integral these devices have become in various sectors - from agriculture and construction to journalism and public safety.

The potential grounding of all DJI drones not only affects individuals like myself but also hampers our nation's ability to respond effectively during emergencies. It is crucial that we consider these implications before passing such restrictive legislation.
