We, the undersigned, urge the Canadian House of Commons to reject the Conservative Party of Canada’s (CPC) petition to restrict gender-affirming care for youth. This petition is rooted in discredited sources and spreads harmful disinformation. We call on our representatives to protect the rights and mental health of trans and non-binary youth by supporting evidence-based, compassionate healthcare.

The CPC is currently sponsoring a petition in the House of Commons that seeks to restrict gender-affirming care for youth. This petition references discredited anti-trans critics of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), spreading harmful disinformation in an attempt to create fear around scientifically-backed and accepted care models.
