As a resident of Lakeview, I am FIRMLY OPPOSED to the proposed siting of a Telus cellphone tower at 3023 - 63rd Avenue SW (Lakeview United Church), and its close proximity to Jennie Elliott Elementary and Bishop Pinkham Junior High. The lack of sufficient local consultation and the potential for aesthetic disruption, property devaluation, and public safety hazards have left myself and many of my neighbours concerned.

Despite some perceived benefits, the drawbacks could significantly outweigh them. Moreover, the Telus cellphone tower could degrade the aesthetic character of our community, with a towering structure that doesn't blend with its surroundings.

It’s clear that the overall lack of community consultation and disregard for potential impact has led to deeply-rooted concerns that cannot be ignored. As residents of Lakeview, we strongly believe that such matters of local importance should be subject to much more transparent and extensive consultation.

We respectfully call upon the decision-makers to reconsider the proposed cellphone tower siting, taking into account the voices of all stakeholders, and the potential long-term impacts on residents' well-being.
