The purpose of our tearoom is to be a village hub for the community.  Since opening at the beining of August 2025 we have been extremely well supported by the village community and surrounding areas.  Weekends are our busiest days of the week especially Sundays. There are a lot of elderly single people in the village who use us, some daily.

Unfortunately there has been a complaint by a villager who initially was supportive of our opening times and said that the people in the village needed the tearoom open on a Sunday but has now reneged for some unknown reason.

Ours current opening hours are as follows :

Monday - Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm

Saturday 8.30 am to 5.00pm

Sunday and Bank Holidays 10.00 - 4.00pm

We have now received notification from the Folkestone & Hythe planning department that we cannot copen after 4.00pm weekdays , we have to shut at 3.00pm on Saturdays and we are not allowed to open on Sundays.

We are also a member of the The Chatty Cafe scheme which helps to bring together lonely people.
