East Ayrshire Council have a proposal to scrap the subsidised school transport for secondary schools. My daughter is due to start secondary in August and has started a campaign to save the school transport. She drafted a letter to the local MP/ MSP/Council and is looking for signatures from local residents. She currently has great support from her teachers and fellow pupils at her Primary school and is looking for wider support. 

More than 600 families/pupils would be affected by the withdrawal of this service resulting in the reliance of public transport or having to walk for an hour or more to get to school (in all weathers) and having to cross main roads, many of which don't have safe crossings. 

Please help to support this cause and keep our children safe.
