A year ago almost to the day that the Brea City Council approved the Raising Cane's Project adjacent to Laurel Elementary, the Brea City Council rescinded all of those Project approvals.

So it is official -  There will not be a Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers Drive-Thru Restaurant adjacent to our Laurel Elementary.

The settlement process was long and winding but in the end we are satisfied with the outcomes bc Raising Cane's is paying for our attorney's fees and most importantly is not proceeding with the project. Now Brea City Council has made it official with this Feb 15, 2022 vote.

At Tuesday night's Council Meeting we asked for clarification on zoning of Gaslight Square. We did not receive a response. We will continue to communicate with the City of Brea and keep you involved.
