We need you to help spread the word that even though Brea City Council said okay, we are saying: Not okay. Raising Cane's in Gaslight Square is not okay.  

I appreciate that you have taken time to express your concerns, will you please do it again?

Will you write a letter to the editor with a copy to Raising Cane’s and copy us? 

And ask at least one friend to do the same before this Thursday, 3/4?

You may have seen or heard about the OC Register Feb 25 article ”Raising Cane’s Approved to Roost in Brea.”

We have opposed Raising Canes because of the exponential vehicular volume will increase risks to the community. 

This article says at the 2/16 City Council Meeting, over fifty people had similar concerns and disapprove.
Brea School Board majority agreed and opposed a drive-thru restaurant.
Still, Brea City Council voted 3-2 and the majority said okay.

Why is it okay for drive-thru patrons to share minor streets with an elementary school, 55+seniors and the local community? 

You can continue to express your opposition to the proposal. Send a letter to the editor. 

Some letter to editor guidelines:
•Read their instructions
•Be brief - 150 words or less
•Refer to the article you are responding to
•Don’t use acronyms, sarcasm, or terms not common to everyone (e.g. BOUSD)
•Keep it clear and simple - you probably know much more than most readers
•Use facts and humor
•Provide your name, address, email, and daytime phone number - they might call to verify who you are (tele #s not published)

When Raising Cane's reached out to our volunteer group, they asked if there was anything they could do? We said yes, move your restaurant project to another location.
