We are at 545 signatures with almost 5,000 views. This is a significant show of strength that will get the attention of the BMOA (and potentially have voting implications for the mayor). I have met with the Developer and his team, as well as individual aldermen and the planning commission. Traffic is at the top of everyone’s minds. For Kings Creek there are also considerations of security and noise because we adjoin their property.
The developer will next have to present a site plan, which includes traffic study as well as stormwater runoff/water/sewer studies. They intend to do that sometime in September or October and the vote would likely be in November or December unless there are complications. Before there is a vote, I am told by Alderman Fuqua that a sign would be placed on the property, alerting everyone about the vote date.
The meeting is at 5:30 tomorrow night (Tuesday) at the Gospel Light Church on Kedron. They will give a short presentation about their development and then take questions. It is a one hour meeting.
I would encourage everyone to be professional, but ask the tough questions. Alderman Fitterer will be there as a neutral observer, and perhaps others from the planning commission. This will be the best chance to get your concerns in front of all the key decision makers
Thank you all for your support
