Hello. My name is “John Doe”. Who I am or what I do isn’t important, but rather the state of this franchise we all grew up and fell in love with. We're a passionate group of people who just want this franchise to return to it's roots. Built by players, for players.

Our goal is to research the current state of the COD franchise to understand the community's concerns, identify the most pressing issues that players are experiencing, and then use this petition as a way for our voices to be heard by someone up there.

I’ll make it simple for everyone to understand:

Ease back on the cosmetics: Stop with the crazy overpriced bundles and skins. Make them worth what we're paying, and make sure buying stuff doesn't give anyone an unfair edge in the game. The amount of goofy silly skins and cosmetics that plague the franchise in recent years not only ruined the more “grounded” aesthetic of the game. War meant something back then. People lost their lives fighting a war, just so we can play a game based on that war, and see cartoon characters running around with unicorn guns. We’re not saying to remove cosmetics entirely, just the ones that don’t make sense with the theme of the game.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Remember when you could actually earn cool stuff just by playing the game? Let's bring that back, yeah? If you plan on going through with these bundles, at least make it where everyone can have an incentive to play the damn video game! Less "pay to get", more "play to earn”.

Fix Matchmaking NOW: We're sick of every single game feeling like a sweat-fest because of SBMM and EOMM. We want a mix of lobbies, better connections, and games where we can actually chill out sometimes, not play like we’re playing for a cash prize.

Ricochet Needs to Work: Cheaters are ruining everything. Ricochet, the anti-cheat system, needs to be way better at catching and banning these guys for good. We need to see it working, not just hear about it. If you can’t make it work, change the anti-cheat to something more secure so we don’t lose our hard earned progress!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Better Servers: Lag, rubber-banding, connection issues, crashing, it's all a nightmare. Invest in better servers so we can actually have a stable game. Or better yet, don’t force game streaming or forced online functionality to every mode.

Slim Down the Game: The game files are huge, and updates are massive. Make titles separate again without the need of having the COD HQ.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Make Every Title Feel Different: Since MW19, every Cod since (with the slight exception of Cold War running on a modified version of BO4’s engine and all) has been running on this same engine, with nothing that keeps it from looking any different. One of the biggest reasons is...

Old Gen Support Needs To Go! (PS4/XBONE): A major reason for the massive downgrade in quality is the effort in optimizing the game for last gen systems that clearly can’t handle newer titles forever. Do what Battlefield 6 is doing, and move forward. Otherwise, these new COD titles can’t use ALL resources on deck. Can’t innovate if old hardware is holding the series back in a bad way.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Communication: Stop with the silent changes and talking only to big streamers and creators. We want regular updates, clear patch notes, and for you to actually tell us what's going on and what you're fixing. Show us that our feedback isn't just going into a black hole. We want to feel like our voices matter and that our concerns are actually leading to changes.

There are definitely more issues, but those are just the baseline modern COD has now. If you really care about the franchise, give this petition a sign, and have your voice be heard in putting this dumpster fire of a beloved franchise out. 

And as for Activision and Microsoft, if you really cared about the playerbase, then start acting on it. Because if you screw up BO7, you will be left in the dust when GTA 6 arrives. Not even the biggest of fans will stay behind when this happens. So what’s it gonna be, Activision/Microsoft?
