He doesn't just bring us the mail; he brings this entire community together, one delivery at a time.
Why are we fiercely protecting Rodney's route?
The Telepathic Mail Forwarder: Moved three blocks away? Rodney already knew, tracked you down, and personally handed you your mail before you even updated your address.
The Porch Pirate Defeater: He knows exactly who your friends are. Instead of leaving your valuable packages on an empty stoop to face the elements (or thieves), he plays matchmaker and drops it safely with a neighbor.
The Walking Club President: He’s the only mail carrier who doubles as an accidental personal trainer for anyone looking to get their daily steps in.
The Heart of our Community: From celebrating life's big moments to showing up for us during the toughest ones, Rodney isn't just a mail carrier—he’s family.
The Mission
Competent, happy, and fiercely caring people are hard to come by. We refuse to let postal bureaucracy scramble his route and take him away from us!

UPDATE on July 21, 2026: This is the response after Congressman Mfume's office inquired on our behalf......
"This is in response to Service Request 89884382 on behalf of your constituent Sharon Reuter. Thank you for contacting the Postal Service and for sharing your constituent’s comments regarding their long-time letter carrier, Rodney Colbert. We appreciate the strong community connection he has built in the Ridgely’s Delight neighborhood.
Management explained that recent route inspections required operational adjustments and consolidation of several routes. Under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement, route assignments are determined strictly by seniority, and the route serving Ridgely’s Delight was selected by another carrier with greater seniority. As a result, Mr. Colbert was reassigned to another route. We understand Ms. Reuter’s desire to retain Mr. Colbert on their route; however, route assignments cannot be altered outside of the established seniority process. Please be assured that the Postal Service remains committed to providing consistent and reliable service to the Ridgely’s Delight community.
We regret any disappointment this change may have caused and appreciate your constituent’s recognition of Mr. Colbert’s dedication and service. "
