The UC Student Body has struggled to find accessible and convenient study locations post-covid. Before the pandemic, students enjoyed access to libraries 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. This provided them with much-needed convenience to study for exams, finish assignments, and access printers, in a habitable and comfortable environment. We all have experienced difficulties finishing up our studying or projects in our dorms because the lights would bother our roommates along with many other things. 24/7 access also allows for better focus and concentration as there are no external causes of distractions in libraries, that are inevitable in one's residence hall. Undoubtedly, having libraries open 24 hours a day 7 days a week would allow for a better sense of community at UC and would significantly improve our student experience and preparedness for our classes.
