Who is affected?
The people of Gaza — men, women, children, the elderly, and the sick — are caught in the middle of an ongoing war. Entire families live under the constant sound of explosions. Hospitals have collapsed, food is scarce, and drinking water is running out. There are people who want to stay and resist. But there are also thousands — men included — who simply want to leave, to protect their families or escape the unbearable suffering. Today, they have no legal path to do so. They are not allowed to leave. They are not given a choice.

What is at stake?
This is not just about buildings and borders — it’s about human lives. Without safe humanitarian exits, the people of Gaza are being forced to stay in a death zone. Every day of delay increases the death toll — not just from bombs, but from injuries untreated, infections, trauma, and hunger. Men who want to carry their children to safety are stuck. Women who want to get medical treatment abroad cannot. Children who could have a future are trapped in fear. But if we act, we can help open a peaceful door — the kind that was opened before.

Why is now the time to act?
During the Bosnian War in the 1990s, the world came together to open safe humanitarian corridors. Over 2 million people — including women, children, and men — were allowed to leave the war zone peacefully and were received in safer countries. It was not perfect, but it gave people something Gaza does not have today: a choice. That same model must be applied now. This is urgent. Civilians in Gaza must be allowed to leave, by choice, without political or military interference. The world cannot stand by while people are trapped and dying. We need immediate international support to create safe, protected exit corridors—just as we did in Bosnia.

This petition calls on the United Nations, the ICRC, and willing countries to act—to support humanitarian exit for those who voluntarily want to leave Gaza in search of safety, peace, and a future.

سكان غزة — من رجال ونساء وأطفال وكبار في السن ومرضى — محاصرون وسط حرب مستمرة. العائلات تعيش تحت القصف المستمر، والمستشفيات لم تعد قادرة على العمل، والغذاء نادر، والماء النظيف مفقود. هناك من يريد البقاء، وهناك من يفضل الرحيل بحثًا عن الأمان. رجال يرغبون فقط في إنقاذ أطفالهم. نساء يبحثن عن علاج. كبار سن لم يعد بإمكانهم احتمال المزيد. ومع ذلك، لا يوجد طريق قانوني واحد يسمح لهم بالمغادرة. هم ببساطة محرومون من الحق في الاختيار.

ما الذي على المحك؟
هذه ليست قضية سياسية، بل قضية إنسانية. بقاء الأوضاع كما هي يعني المزيد من الموت، ليس فقط بسبب القنابل، بل بسبب الجروح غير المعالجة، والجوع، والصدمات النفسية. رجال يريدون حمل أطفالهم إلى بر الأمان لا يستطيعون الخروج. نساء بحاجة لرعاية طبية عاجلة ممنوعات من السفر. أطفال يمكنهم أن يحظوا بمستقبل، محاصرون في الخوف. لكن هناك سابقة في التاريخ يمكن تكرارها — إذا وُجدت الإرادة.

لماذا يجب التحرك الآن؟
خلال حرب البوسنة في التسعينيات، اجتمع العالم لإنشاء ممرات إنسانية آمنة. أكثر من مليوني شخص — من رجال ونساء وأطفال — استطاعوا مغادرة مناطق الحرب والوصول إلى أماكن آمنة. لم تكن التجربة مثالية، لكنها منحت الناس شيئًا لا يملكه سكان غزة اليوم: الاختيار. نحن بحاجة إلى نفس النموذج الآن. هذا التحرك لا يتطلب قرارات سياسية، بل شجاعة إنسانية. سكان غزة المدنيون يجب أن يُمنحوا فرصة مغادرة منطقة الحرب طوعًا، بأمان، وكرامة.

ندعو الأمم المتحدة، والصليب الأحمر الدولي، والدول المستعدة للمساعدة، إلى دعم فتح ممر إنساني آمن يسمح لمن يرغب بالخروج من غزة أن يفعل ذلك دون تدخل سياسي أو عسكري.
