URGENT REQUEST FOR AN INTERNATIONAL INVESTIGATION INTO THE ALLEGED OBSTRUCTION OF HUMANITARIAN AID IN VENEZUELA

We, Venezuelan citizens, United States citizens, and members of the international community, request urgent attention regarding widely reported allegations of possible delays, blockages, or obstruction in the delivery and distribution of humanitarian aid following the earthquakes that occurred in Venezuela on June 24, 2026.

These allegations have been publicly reported on social media, digital media, and through testimonies from affected areas, where it is stated that aid sent to save lives may have faced critical delays in reaching the most impacted communities.

In a humanitarian emergency of this magnitude, every minute can mean the difference between life and death.

This letter is issued on June 27, 2026.

 

WHAT WE REQUEST

1. The immediate opening of an independent, impartial, and exhaustive international investigation into all possible actors involved in any delay, blockage, or obstruction of humanitarian aid.
2. Guaranteeing rapid, safe, and unhindered access to humanitarian assistance for the affected areas.
3. The urgent preservation of evidence, including records, testimonies, and audiovisual material.
4. The protection of rescue workers, volunteers, medical personnel, and witnesses.
5. The evaluation of appropriate international actions should responsibilities be determined following an independent investigation.

SOLICITUD URGENTE DE INVESTIGACIÓN INTERNACIONAL SOBRE LA PRESUNTA OBSTRUCCIÓN DE AYUDA HUMANITARIA EN VENEZUELA

Nosotros, ciudadanos venezolanos, ciudadanos estadounidenses y miembros de la comunidad internacional, solicitamos atención urgente ante denuncias ampliamente difundidas sobre posibles retrasos, bloqueos u obstrucciones en la entrega y distribución de ayuda humanitaria tras los terremotos ocurridos en Venezuela el 24 de junio de 2026.

Estas denuncias han sido reportadas públicamente en redes sociales, medios digitales y testimonios provenientes de zonas afectadas, donde se señala que la ayuda enviada para salvar vidas podría haber enfrentado retrasos críticos en su llegada a las comunidades más impactadas.

En una emergencia de esta magnitud, cada minuto puede significar la diferencia entre la vida y la muerte.

LO QUE SOLICITAMOS

1. La apertura inmediata de una investigación internacional independiente, imparcial y exhaustiva sobre todos los posibles actores involucrados en cualquier retraso, bloqueo u obstrucción de la ayuda humanitaria.
2. Garantizar el acceso rápido, seguro y sin interferencias a la asistencia humanitaria para las zonas afectadas.
3. La preservación urgente de evidencia, incluyendo registros, testimonios y material audiovisual.
4. La protección de rescatistas, voluntarios, personal médico y testigos.
5. La evaluación de acciones internacionales apropiadas si se determinan responsabilidades tras una investigación independiente.
