Why you should sign

This fly-in event will help commemorate Colerne airfields rich history in aviation and the crucial roles it served during the first and second world wars. It will also bring together the community of Colerne and the general aviation community to help raise money for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance

Colerne airfield was scheduled to be sold in 2019 and was subsequently closed to aviation. However the airfield was saved as a reserve airfield and to 'support continued aviation use' however the airfield was never reopened to aviation. Several government officials have described it as ‘an ideal base for light aviation’.

The future of the airfield is currently unknown, many sources state it is scheduled to close in 2025.
