Victims of the devastating tornado that touched down in Barrie and Kawartha Lakes on July 15, 2021 are not being treated fairly or equally.  Barrie's Mayor had the presence of mind to declare a "state of emergency", so those residents will receive relief funds from the provincial Disaster Recovery Assistance program whereas because the City of Kawartha Lakes Mayor did not, those who lost their homes and businesses there do not qualify.  This needs to change!  Please support our petition that will help families and businesses in the City of Kawartha Lakes rebuild their lives.  Their community has rallied around them with amazing support, now it's time for the government to do the same.
