Camping is an escape. In a time when we are told not to leave the province, and even the country, many people have been looking forward to camping this year.  This is evidenced by the uptake in Provincial Park site registration this year.

Camping is healthy for this pandemic!  It gets us outdoors, it has us taking vacation away from workplaces (which have been known the be many of the outbreaks).  Without camping, Ontarian's stay at work and keep their vacation banked keeping them surrounded by others more often and thus more at risk.  It gets those who live in close quarters such as apartment buildings away from the dense populations.

Have rules: same bubble to a site only, and no going to other sites.  Put more money into campgrounds to support more staff monitoring compliance. Keep facilities like bathrooms controlled like in other public settings where distancing is a requirement.  Only allowed at campsites within 50 or 100kms from your home. This CAN help the pandemic, and can be done safely.

This will help families keep bored kids entertained, keep us outdoors and get us our Vitamin D.
