Online harrassment has to stop

Online harrassment has to stop
The Issue
Hate speech and bullying are major problems for Twitter, and it's time for the company to decide, once and for all, if it's on the side of the abusers or the abused.
Online harassment can happen to anyone, with close to half of internet users in the UK saying that they have seen hateful content online in the past year. In-depth investigations into the impact of specific forms of online harassment such as cyberstalking provide a detailed insight into the physical, mental and emotional difficulties a person can experience from online harassment.
It’s time for a change, Twitter is filled with so many fake troll accounts and we need to make a stand. Bringing in ID verification when opening an account is one of many things twitter can do do try and stop or at least lower the amount of online trolling/harrassment that takes place.
Authorities like the police force really have to take stuff like this a lot more serious, because by the time they have done anything someone has taken their life, then it’s too late.
