Hello, we are Girl Scout troop 30677 from Western New York. We are working on our Bronze Award by trying to reduce food waste.

We want New York State to follow in the steps of California's law S.B 1383 in which they require supermarkets to send edible food to food banks instead of throwing it out in the garbage and it ending up in the landfill.

New York State recently passed a law that says supermarkets should "from time to time make excess food available to food relief organizations", but we can do better!!

Please sign our petition that we are going to send to New York State legislature to get this law passed in New York State.
