Artists boycott call grows and rally announced

Sydney Festival has refused artist calls to divest its Star Partnership with the Israeli Embassy and end all relations with the apartheid state.

As artists we will not be silent in the face of Israel's crimes of apartheid and ethnic cleansing.

Sydney Festival has officially crossed the human rights picket line and so Palestinian civil society and allies call on artists, organisations and festival goers to withdraw their support from the 2022 Sydney Festival and join the cultural boycott.

What you can do: (and many thanks to those of you who have taken one of these actions already). 
1. Send a letter to the board of directors letting them know why you won't be going.

2. Sign a petition to the artistic director requesting they drop sponsorship now.

3. Support artists and companies that have withdrawn from the festival.
