I am starting this petition to change the Statute of Limitations on sexual abuse in Ohio. 

I have been following the Sexual abuse sandal involving the Ohio State Dr. Strauss and the 350 + students he abused during a twenty five year period.  Long story short the case was dismissed by a judge three years after being in court solely based on the SOL.  This judge said the University failed the survivors and the Ohio legislation did not have the WILL to step in and help protect the survivors and possible future victims. 

It seems to me that the Ohio legislature is protecting Ohio State University and two large insurance companies.  Bill Seitz the Ohio House of Representatives of the 30th district went on the news and said the Ohio House Bill 249 (suppose to help the survivors) was never intended to even get to a vote.  They were just giving the survivors a false hope.  I was also told that it was the Republicans blocking the way.  Not exactly sure why it is a political issue?  It seems to make sense that no one should favor sexual abuse, except maybe the abusers.

In order to change the SOL in Ohio and hopefully all over the country we need your help.  There are only 9 states in the USA that have no SOL on sexual abuse.
