Final #OHgov debate at public university will exclude half the field

Friends and supporters of fair and open debates:
The Ohio Debates Commission is set to host a third and final #OHgovDebate on October 8 that will exclude half the field -- Green Party candidate Constance Gadell-Newton and Libertarian Party candidate Travis Irvine. It is clear that this broad coalition was designed to serve and protect the interests of the two-party duopoly rather than the interests of Ohio Voters.
But it's not too late. At this time of divisive rhetoric and hyperpartisan madness, a new poll shows that 68% of Americans are ready for a third party breakthrough. We the People of Ohio and of these United States can change the course of history, but it will take a massive push to make our voices heard -- across party lines and across the political spectrum. The media is silencing us, and they are blacking out any candidates who dare to challenge the duopoly or propose commonsense fixes to a broken system. But we have the power to spread the word and reframe this contest as the four-way race that it is.
- SEND this petition to 10 friends and relatives who vote in Ohio. No matter their party affiliation or political preferences.
- ASK them to sign the petition and share it with their friends.
- SHARE it on social media and light up the hashtag #OpenTheOHgovDebates.
- WRITE a Letter to the Editor in response to any news story you see ignoring half the candidates on the ballot.
Together, we can break this two party trap and open up the debates and media coverage to more voices and better choices.
