In a time where we are facing unprecedented levels of anxiety and grave distress, the downgrading of many A level results will result in furthered mental health issues.

We simply ask the government to use our teacher predictions, GCSE results and Mock grades to ensure fairer grades. The current way is not fair AT ALL.

Many students have been denied of the grade which they so rightly deserve owing to previous school performance rather than individual attainment and we cannot allow this to ruin the futures of many bright individuals.

We must implore the government and education minister to make a change by accepting the predicted grades delivered by the teachers, they are the most capable individuals to provide a truthful insight into what the student could have ascertained had they sat the real exam. Along with this Centre Assessment Grades should be use heavily and past performance of the school should not be taken into consideration.

Don't let the government suppress the success of individuals solely because of class and ethnic backgrounds, don't let race have a place in this. This is about education, it should not have become a political debate.
