The 2024 United States general election is one of the most contentious and pivotal elections in our lifetime as American citizens and for citizens of the world affected by American policy. 

Donald Trump, associates and allies continually attacked the integrity of the election he lost in 2020 for these four years, and despite numerous investigations that happened in response to their lawsuits, no manipulation was found. However, Trump loyalists were found to be in violation of election law as they tried to substantiate his claims.

Now, a letter from non-profit technology leaders and computer scientists to VP Harris is circulating calling for an investigation and hand count of ballots in all swing states to ensure that the integrity of ballots cast, including under votes, matches the count of votes cast in favor of the current president-elect. 

We the People urge the Harris campaign and the election boards of Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan, Nevada, and Arizona to fulfill the due diligence of a full investigation as a response to these expert's claims. The peaceful transfer of power must always be protected, and this investigation will support it the people's confidence in the election and the safety of its process.
