As taxpayers, we deserve to have Congress members do their job. When they allow a government shut-down to occur, they are refusing to do the very jobs for which they are paid. People who refuse to do their jobs deserve to have their employment terminated.

Therefore, in instances where Congress allows a government shutdown to occur, state taxpayers deserve the right to hold special elections in which the congressperson may lose their position as a result of the election process.
