Petition updateOffice of Child Ombudsman (NJ A3227/S2500)DCPP Stopped Investigating Child-on-Child Sexual Abuse Cases
The Child Advocacy Association of New Jersey An Initiative of Miriam's HeartNJ, United States
Feb 14, 2023

The agency empowered to protect NJ’s children failed to investigate over 100 reports of child-on-child sexual assaults during a 5-month period. The information was published last week by NJ.com citing an investigative report from the Office of the State Comptroller.

This further supports NJ’s need for an Ombudsman for Children, an impartial person to investigate complaints. How is it that other populations already have an ombudsman (prisoners, the disabled, mentally ill and addicted persons, nursing home residents) but not our vulnerable children?

We need your help -- we need more petition signatures. Ask your friends, family, and colleagues to sign the Ombudsman for Children petition. The more signatures, the more our legislators take notice.
