Change the flow of wealth in Chicago and put an end to its economic segregation.

The Issue

There have been many historical ethic inequalities that are apparent in modern times now, ceasing the growth of majority-black communities. There is economic segregation in Chicago and wealth is only concentrated into very specific parts of the city, dividing our neighborhoods academically, culturally and, politically. This segregation influences the American public’s preferences for government redistribution. Changes need to be made and it starts with the budget of Chicago. It has been leaving black-filled communities in poverty and left with few resources and few opportunities. Why must this community have to fight their way of poverty and potentially risk everything, not to talk of the violence there as well? Things wouldn't have to be an exhausting fight if we simply amended the budget of Chicago and not focus on urban areas when there are people are in need. For years black-filled communities have people have given empty promises and non-consistent changes and that needs to stop right now. We can't let them die in poverty when they can potentially flourish to be more than just "the ghetto" or a poor area. By signing, making a complaint to the Office of Budget and Management, or contacting them about the inefficiency in Chicago's Government you gave contributed to the potential growth of wealth for black communities and giving someone a chance to prosper as well!
