For Minor applicants of Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) , VFS is mandating NSW residents to attest the documents by notary. Notary attested three pages (copy of child's birth certificate and copy of both parents current Passport Bio Page) of the documents are to be submitted along with the application. This will incur a huge cost to the young families. Kindly note that this is a requirement for NSW residents only. I believe this is unfair and creates an unnecessary burden on the families like us who are already pressured due to the soaring cost of living.
