We, the undersigned residents of the mumbai, respectfully submit that we strongly oppose the proposed drama theatre and any other commercial constructions planned by the college administration/government within the Ismail Yusuf College campus Jogeshwari East

The campus is of immense educational, environmental, and social significance. Its open grounds and green spaces are essential for students, local residents, senior citizens, and children. The campus is home to long-standing tree cover, biodiversity, and a natural environment, serving as an important green zone amidst increasing urban pollution.

Considering the rising levels of pollution and the rapid decline of open spaces, any concrete construction within this campus would be detrimental to the environment and contrary to public interest. Instead, efforts should be directed towards environmental conservation, protection of trees, and preservation of the open grounds.

We therefore request State Government urgent intervention to halt the proposed drama theatre and any other commercial construction projects and to ensure the permanent protection and preservation of the environment and open spaces within the Ismail Yusuf College campus.
