Special Council Meeting is being held at the Mount Isa City Council Chambers tomorrow, Thursday (09/06/2022) commencing at 9am - 10am.

I have been angrily informed by numerous local rate payers, they have not been invited to this special MICC community meeting regardless they had provided their objection feedback by the original feedback due date relating to all proposed MICC Rate rises detailed in Councils draft 2022/2023 budget.

This special community meeting needs to be rescheduled and delivered in a more transparent and rate payer inclusive manner, including convening a more agreeable and convenient meeting day and time to cater for normal business workers hours and shift worker rate payers schedules, so they can attend and fully participate in robust 2022/2023 budget discussions.

If you are not working or don’t have other commitments, I strongly encourage you to attend tomorrows MICC special community meeting, to listen and/or have your say by providing your personal objection feedback prior to MICC Councillors finalisation of their proposed project and budget expenditure for 2022/2023.
