Motion - Vote of no confidence with MICC Councillors and CEO/Executives (excl Mayor) !!!

For your notification and general public awareness pertaining to this Petition, if this Petition mysteriously disappears or gets removed from public viewing on the Change.org website, so you all are aware it was not an agreeable decision made by any of the petition organisers, nor anyone had any involvement or personally actioned the removal of this petition.

Mount Isa Rate Payers have had enough of Mount Isa City Council price gouging and ripping off the rate payers of Mount Isa. Everyone I know and spoken to has had a gut full of these forever increasing ridiculous rate hike price increases by Council, to pay for the proposed ridiculous new and in their pipeline dreams projects (2022/2023 draft budget) which funding could be sourced from State Government and other Corporations instead of our already struggling, hard done by Mount Isa rate payers. 

These newly proposed council projects are only going to benefit a minority group of people living in Mount Isa (who may not even be ratepayers themselves) again like the majority of their ridiculous ideas and projects rate payer money has already been wasted on over the years.

Our elderly pensioner rate payer residents and other financially struggling rate payers (local/not local) are already struggling with exorbitant costs of everyday living, so it’s financially greedy and despicable that Mount Isa City Council would expect Mount Isa rate payers to pay and afford another 6% rate hike price increase.

The Councillors have not earned or deserve this years or past years pay rise, as community are aware they have rarely attended important community events to sufficiently represent their rate paying community members who pay their well paid councillor wages.

Councillors, you need to show some professionalism, integrity, respect and humanity by doing the right thing this year and donate your government legislated pay rise to a needy and worthy local charity.

Please support this extremely important petition by signing it now by Wednesday 15th June 2022 (31/05/22 -  Extension request granted for petition signatures consideration) to show your fierce objections to this 6% rate price increase. so we have a good chance of making MICC actually listen to their ratepayers and hopefully stopping council using our rate monies to fund their newly proposed projects in this years (2022/2023) draft budget.
